Open Gardens 2013
The glorious weather on 8th July 2013 ensured that this was a truly memorable day. Around 400 people visited the gardens and ablout £3,000 was raised to be shared between St Oswald’s Church and the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. Thank you to all the people who so kindly opened their gardens – 19 gardens in all – to all the helpers who gave so willingly and generously of their time and to Gerald Coates for masterminding the event. It was a wonderful team effort.
Church Fete 2013
Lower Peover church fete took place in glorious sunshine on 7th July. It was opened by Edwina Oldham who encouraged everyone to enjoy the afternoon. Entertainment was provided by Wilmslow Silver Band and by the children of Lower Peover school who gave their usual display of country dancing including the maypole dance. The event raised around £4,000 for church funds. Thanks are due to Veronica Gough and her team of helpers for organising such a magnificent event.
